The years have flown by - I can’t believe it’s been eight

From where you began - What you’ve accomplished is great

There wasn’t even a pen - With that office so small

Barely bigger than a closet - You had to have gall!!

You had a computer - Which you couldn’t turn on

A 286 with DOS - A lesser spirit, would have been gone

Fortunately, you had Tony - Your son with knowhow

Who upgraded your equipment - To him, each of us should bow!!

Speaking of typing - You didn’t have a clue

Now you’re at 108 per minute - That says a lot about you

But we musn’t forget - And probably many don’t know

Your husband and son - Were an intregal part of the show!!

They helped with the mailings - For they could connect the dots

It was a family affair - To help you through the rough spots

You had a newsletter to write - With no experience, per se

You answered the challenge - And look at you today!!

You’ve gone through - This is your own personal count

108 Board of Directors - Yes, that’s a goodly amount

Remember when finally - From the closet you emerged

You had a door and windows - My, how you splurged!!

The membership when you started - Was about 139

It’s now almost 400 - Your marketing skills are devine

You’ve built up our chamber - And taught us to volunteer

"No" was not an acceptable answer - From the beginning, that was clear!!

But you do have our blessings - As you go on your way

The legacy you’ve left - Is a proud one to display

As you begin your next challenge - These words I impart

We all have fond memories - Of Barbara Warren in our heart!!
