A Toast To Stephanie & Bob!!
From Dad
As father of the bride - Im proud as I
can be
Steph, youve given many happy memories
- Of just you and me
When I gaze back on your youth - A smile comes
to my face
And Ill keep them forever - In a very
special place!!
You were a fun little kid - And you really learned
fast
Like when I coached you in softball - You were
unsurpassed
With a batting average of 740 - Here was the
trick
You learned to pull the ball - Then run to base
real quick!!
And the time you and your girlfriends - Got
a whole bunch of thrills
Throwing snowballs at cars - Then running for
the hills
One filled with teenage boys - Stopped to give
chase
All they found was little Lauren - With snow
on her face!!
On your first day in Texas - Do you remember
this, Steph
You were followed by some cows - And got scared
half to death
For you didnt realize - They were just
following the fence
Curious about you - Oh, Im sure it was
tense!!
You played volleyball in high school - And you
could have been good
But you wouldnt cut your finger nails
- Like you knew you should
But you found your nitch - And made us all quite
proud
As Lt. Governor of the Kiwanettes - Giving speeches
to the crowd!!
I cant forget Bob - Whos blood flows
Michigan blue
For Michigan to beat Michigan State - That wish
wont come true
Though we dont agree on football - Its
always good for a laugh
And youve made Stephanie quite happy -
I must say on your behalf!!
Theres also little Ryan - A fine young
man indeed
I welcome you both to our family - A little
grandson is what I need
And Stephanie, I suspect - Since youve
always been so mothering
Your family will get larger - With your love
theyll be smothering!!
At this moment of my life - Id like each
of you to know
My heart is filled with love - As I watch my
family grow
So lets all raise our glasses - To the new bride
and groom
We wish you both the happiest of lives - Each
of us in this room!!
