Good-by gentle angel Dear sweet mother
of mine
You know that youll be missed But
we knew that it was time
We never heard you complain When sometimes
your life was rough
Though kind soul, through and through Ree
Dauphin could also be tough!!
You cared about your children As any mother
would
I recall some of your sacrifices You made
in our childhood
Hard work never phased you And hard work
was your trademark
A farmers wife and schoolteacher With eyes
that kept their spark!!
You served your lord and master Never doubting
the Power on High
When we kids would get in trouble Youd
just pray harder, with a sigh
Your favorite book was
the "Messiah" And you were always
quick to say
"Come on, you need to read it"
And each person would obey!!
You had your friends at Woodcrest And also
Catholic Eldercare
Your belief in the Holy Power Gave you
strength and made you aware
You told us what you wanted And made it
easy on each child
Though your memory got a little hazy Your
spirit was reconciled!!
I told you in the final days What a great
Mom you were to me
And how much I really loved you Before
your spirit was set free
All your children said good-bye And grandchildren
here in town
You gave us all that trademark smile For
you didnt know how to frown!!
Richards playing the organ As we
celebrate your wonderful Soul
Joan picked out the music Neal and Ed each
had a role
You left a wonderful legacy And you stood
out in the crowd
Ma, you had a lot of friends Your memory,
makes us proud!!
Heres the poem you requested Written
with all my love
Youll be in my thoughts always Till
we meet again, above
For Souls that travel together Have a never
breaking bond
At some point in the Universe Well
meet in the Great Beyond!!
