What’s this thing called positive thinking - We’d all be ahead if we learned how

For it’s a tool to overcome adversity - And to learn to live just for now

It’s easy to get down in a rut - Like the world is too much to bear

But if we look hard at the bright side - It just seems much more fair!!

The many sages of yesteryear - And successful men today

Never dwell upon the past - And always have something nice to say

For we regular guys, it’s gotta be tough - Or we just aren’t gonna play

For something this simple to help us - Oh no, it can’t work this way!!

Spirituality isn’t a requirement - But it really helps, you know

For part of positive thinking - Is letting the Higher Power run the show

Some call these things nonsense - Miracles others say

This just happens to be a fact - God’s with you every day!!

It’s great there is forgiveness - He’ll accept us as we are

But if we have a positive attitude - We can help his work go far

So let me tell you brother - Or sister if you please

Just try some positive thinking - And see if your life isn’t filled with ease!!
