A Toast to Rhonda & Bob!!

I rise for a toast - For the newly weds, Rhonda and Bob
But first a little history - About these two heart throbs
They worked together each summer - In the Fall off they'd go
Rhonda returned to the Seminary - But in between, I don't know!!

Bob followed his brother Joe - To Schaaf Floral to work
We called him Little Bob - With this smile almost like a smirk
He was smart and worked hard - As most of the Hlavinka's did
He was just into high school - This short, skinny kid!!

I asked him a question - Why he wasn't playing baseball
He said he wasn't good enough - Back then he wasn't very tall
He decided he was going to study - And make the "Honor Roll"
I couldn't argue with that - I said, "That's a wonderful goal"!!

He then became Pine Cone Bob - Gathering cones for the store
He took pride in his work - And kept bringing in more and more
He was such a quick study - We put him up in the front
Waiting on the customers - He was like a dog on the hunt!!

He was good with computers - And back then we didn't know
He was even balancing out the registers - Turning into a real pro
He could probably run the store - Except for one very small quirk
When it comes to reading a map - For Bob, it just doesn't work!!

He graduated with honors - Going on to St. Cloud State
His first room mate was memorable - Causing Bob to be irate
He puked on Bob's new chair - Which Bob found hard to believe
People just don't act that way - It was hard for Bob to conceive!!

The years went by fast - And each summer he got a job
At Kids Key Club with Rhonda - Pretty soon, it was Rhonda and Bob
So it came as no surprise - On the other hand, maybe so
For it seems just like yesterday - When Pine Cone Bob first said, "Hello"!!

So please join me in toasting - My friend Bob and Rhonda his new wife
May your love continue to grow - As you walk down the road of life
May you find each other interesting - And never say "I'm bored"
May you count your many blessings - As you go and serve the Lord!!
